Due to the Equifax security breach, many consumers have placed a security freeze on their credit reports. Even though NCS does not use Equifax (we use TransUnion), the credit reports you order through us may be affected. Please note that the credit bureaus will charge you even if there is no information available because of a credit freeze. They will also charge for the additional report that will need to be reordered if the freeze has been lifted. You may want to consider asking your applicant if they have a security freeze in place prior to ordering this package.
Some applicants are offering to temporarily remove the freeze to allow time for the credit report to process. If your applicants contact the credit bureau(s) to release the freeze, they need to notify you so you can order the credit report during that time frame. Again, the credit bureau will charge for every credit report ordered regardless of the information returned so please keep this in mind prior to ordering a credit report. NCS is unable to provide discounts or reimbursements related to this issue. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
